Another app claiming to be free but it isn't. Can MacUpdate start differentiating what truly free and what is not. If once you install it and it say's "start you 7 Day Trail" then it isn't free. Mac OS Sierra has been out for almost 2 moths now and while other developers have made sure that their apps work even way before the launch HSS still isn't compatible and won't run on a Mac with Sierra.

I literally had to uninstall the entire Hotspot app to get rid of the Hotspot window and adware on my desktop, since there was no way to click on the window to remove it Hotspot intentionally makes only the yellow "minus" icon work so you can't disable the window.

I have the same issue as Markus Winter. Try to change country but it tells me I need to unlock elite in order to do so. I have "elite" and the app seems to register this fact or had, I'm trying to cancel this incredible waste of money. The app itself is very intrusive. It always opens browser windows when it start up and connects to quite a few metrics services.
And the question of whether it works. I have my doubts about whether this is a true VPN or a kind of proxy. The reason is that VPN is like an shield. It goes up and all connections must go through it. However, this one is leaky. Sometimes my actual IP is visible to the world and even on their website they mention that there are problems with Chrome and Firefox. I know that Firefox at least bypasses proxies, but it cannot bypass VPN Hotspot Shield is cheap and apparently for good reason.
